 State of Palestine: Hopes and Obstacles


International Studies Journal (ISJ) and United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) will hold an International Workshop on the occasion of International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, in Tehran, Iran on 29 November 2015.

Workshop Topics


This workshop will review the UN organs and member states’ practices and activities on Palestine and the State of Palestine;

The membership of the State of Palestine in UN, obstacles to the ongoing peace process, particularly those requiring urgent action such as settlements, Jerusalem, the blockade of Gaza and the humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territory;

Mobilization of global action towards the achievement of a comprehensive, just and lasting solution of the question of Palestine in accordance with international law and the relevant resolutions of the UN.



ISJ and UNIC will award a certificate to all participants who successfully fulfill the workshop assignments, research, and exercises. The Best articles which are presented in the workshop could be published in ISJ.


Terms and conditions of participations


  1. An accredited degree in law, international relations or a relevant field of study;
  2. Good command of English, Persian or French;
  3. Your recent photograph;
  4. Letter of application including address, telephone, email and language skills(Persian, English, French);
  5. CV/Resume;
  6. Payment of 200 Euros (150 Euros for Students) upon admission. This fee covers registration, courses, booklet, ISJ quarterly magazines and lunch.
